IRS Jovem 2025: Como pagar menos impostos e aumentar a poupança
O IRS Jovem é um regime fiscal pensado para apoiar os jovens no início da sua vida profissional. A partir de 2025, traz mudanças importantes que tornam este benefício ainda mais atrativo.
Se tens até 35 anos e trabalhas por conta de outrem ou como profissional independente, descobre como podes aproveitar esta oportunidade para pagar menos impostos e aumentar a tua poupança.
O que muda no IRS Jovem em 2025?
O novo regime traz vantagens significativas para os jovens trabalhadores.
- Idade máxima alargada: agora podes beneficiar até aos 35 anos (antes, até 30 anos).
- Mais tempo de benefício: o período de isenção passa de 5 para 10 anos.
- Acesso universal: agora disponível para todos os jovens, independentemente do grau académico.
- Maior limite anual: até €28.737,50 (55 vezes o IAS em 2025).
- Menos restrições: a isenção pode ser usada ao longo de 10 anos, mesmo que não sejam consecutivos.
Percentuais de isenção e como funcionam
O IRS Jovem tem uma isenção progressiva sobre os rendimentos das categorias A (trabalho dependente) e B (trabalho independente):
Isenção ao longo dos anos
- 1.º ano: 100% de isenção
- 2.º ao 7.º ano: 50% de isenção
- 8.º ao 10.º ano: 25% de isenção
No primeiro ano, não pagas IRS sobre os rendimentos abrangidos. Nos anos seguintes, a tributação aumenta progressivamente.
Quanto podes poupar?
Se tens um salário de €20.000/ano, esta pode ser a tua poupança:
- 1.º ano: até €2.500 de poupança
- 2.º ao 7.º ano: até €1.250/ano
- 8.º ao 10.º ano: até €625/ano
Ao longo dos 10 anos, a poupança pode chegar a vários milhares de euros.
Quem não pode beneficiar do IRS Jovem?
Nem todos os jovens podem aceder ao IRS Jovem. Estão excluídos aqueles que:
- Já tenham usufruído do regime de residente não habitual.
- Participaram no Programa Regressar ou em benefícios similares.
- Não tenham a situação fiscal regularizada.
Como pedir o IRS Jovem?
O processo é simples:
- Comunica à tua entidade patronal que vais beneficiar do IRS Jovem.
- Indica o ano a que corresponde a isenção.
- No momento da declaração de IRS (Modelo 3), basta optar pelo regime.
A Autoridade Tributária fará automaticamente o cálculo da isenção.
